York United FC has signed a partnership with StatsBomb to use its industry-leading soccer data and analytics platform.
The agreement sees York United FC become the first Canadian Premier League team to utilise StatsBomb's analytical services and will strengthen the club's talent identification and performance analysis capabilities.
As part of the agreement, York United FC will have access to the StatsBomb IQ platform, including the IQ Scout and IQ Tactics tools. The club will be able to easily compare players across 100+ competitions and use customisable templates and filter using StatsBomb metrics to build personalised scouting shortlists. York United FC will also be able to visualise and analyse patterns in its opponents' play via IQ Tactics.
York United FC will also join 100+ professional teams worldwide in using StatsBomb's performance data to support the work of the club's coaches, scouts and analysts. StatBomb's data spec records over 3,400 events per game and features unique metrics, including Pass Height, Shot Impact Height, Pass Footedness and more.
