StatsBomb's inaugural conference was held at Stamford Bridge on 11th October 2019. With two full tracks, our keynote speakers shared coveted insight from the world's top football clubs and our research competition showcased new innovative data driven research. With the live feed closed at 22,000 viewers, we are absolutely delighted with the entire event.

Seth Partnow: Former director of basketball research Milwaukee Bucks, NBA Analyst

Seth Partnow covers the NBA and basketball analytics for The Athletic. Before joining the Athletic, he was the Director of Basketball Research for the Milwaukee Bucks after being a founder and editor of The Nylon Calculus website.

Adrien Tarascon Head of Game Analysis Paris Saint-Germain

Adrien Tarascon is Head of Game Analysis at Paris Saint-Germain since 2017 after 2 years as Pro Scouting Coordinator. He created and harmonized the analysis processes of the French giant throughout Pro Team, Academy and Women Team.

Javier Fernández Head of Sports Analytics FC Barcelona

Javier is the Head of Sports Analytics at F.C. Barcelona, where he combines research on machine learning for football analytics and the development of statistical tools to aid coaches in their everyday analysis tasks.

Vosse De Boode: Head of Sport Science and Data Analytics, AFC Ajax

Vosse joined AFC Ajax in 2011. She drives the integration of data in the club’s day-to-day operations.

Michael Caley: Host "Double Pivot" Podcast, Writing 538 & The Athletic

Karun Signh

Karun Singh is an independent football analytics researcher. He graduated from Cornell University in 2018, majoring in Computer Science with a focus on computer vision and machine learning

Ted Knutson

Ted is an entrepreneur with decades of leadership experience. He leads the global StatsBomb team in his role as CEO.

Thom Lawrence

Thom is an experienced software engineer. He previously worked on the real-time big data needs of the aviation and telco industries, before founding his own natural language processing startup.
