On 10th October, StatsBomb will return to the iconic Wembley Stadium for our annual analytics conference -- the only such event dedicated to the pro analytics industry. Here is a glimpse at what attendees can expect on the day.
The Speaker Line-Up
The StatsBomb Conference is renowned for featuring talks and presentations from some of the brighest minds in the game. Past events have seen the likes of Dr. Ian Graham, Tom Worville, Vosse De Boode and Sarah Rudd sharing their insights on various topics, from club recruitment strategies to the future of soccer analytics.
This year is no different, with Luke Bornn (Zelus Analytics), Ravi Ramineni (src | ftbl), Sam Goldberg (New York Red Bulls), Karun Singh (Arsenal FC) and many more set to deliver exclusive talks on subjects such as data-driven storytelling, AI and the transfer market, and the role of the sporting director.
A number of the talks will be livestreamed to the StatsBomb social accounts and uploaded to our Youtube channel after the event. However, some of the content will be exclusively for conference attendees -- another reason to purchase your ticket if you haven’t already.

Changes In Women's Football Panel
This year, StatsBomb Chief Operating Officer Charlotte Randall will host a dedicated panel about growth and opportunity in women’s football, where she will be joined by Laura Brambilla (AC Milan), Tanya Bröring (Jong Ajax) and Ana de Souza (Data & Analytics Consultant).
Each panellist works in a different area of the women’s game, including match and performance analysis, sports science and data visualisation.
Speaking about the panel, Charlotte Randall said:
“Women's football is growing in terms of financial investment, popularity amongst football fans worldwide and the sophistication of the game.
"Our panel of experts from women's teams will be discussing pertinent issues surrounding growth such as players' involvement with data, comparisons with the men's game, as well as the challenges and opportunities in growing the sport.”
The Future Of Analytics
As always, the StatsBomb Conference will feature the latest research in the soccer analytics space. This year's theme is identifying tactical approaches in attack and defence.
The Research Stage will also see special appearances from FIFA’s Sirus Saberi and members of StatsBomb’s Customer Success and Data Science teams. Sirus will be talking about FIFA’s strategy for unlocking insights from data, while StatsBomb’s James Mills and Will Thomson will discuss delivering success for a global customer base and valuing defensive shape, respectively.
Delve into Soccer and Football IQ
Conference attendees will also have the opportunity to test drive StatsBomb’s analytics platforms at the dedicated demo booths, including our exciting new American Football product. Our team will be on hand to answer questions and discuss particular areas of interest.
There will also be opportunities to meet with our Customer Success Team and find out how to get the most out of StatsBomb’s solutions.

Sponsors and Exhibitors
The event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors: Gemini Sports (Headline), Catapult Sports and Kitman Labs. Each sponsor will have a dedicated stand to demo their products and services.
Networking Opportunities
The event will see over 400 attendees from across the soccer analytics space, and there will be plenty of opportunities to build new connections and exchange ideas with like-minded individuals.
There will be various networking breaks throughout the day, as well as lunch (food included with the ticket), and the post-event drinks at the One Twenty Club.
Don't Miss Out
The deadline for purchasing tickets is fast approaching, but there are still a limited number of general admission and student tickets available for those who haven’t secured their spot.
