AJ Auxerre has become the latest Ligue 1 club to sign up for StatsBomb's contextual event data and customisable IQ analysis platform.
After gaining promotion last year, the partnership demonstrates the team's ambition to retain its place in the French top division by implementing a data-led approach across the critical club departments, such as opposition analysis.
Auxerre signed the deal earlier this year and has already integrated the performance data into its recruitment and analysis processes, supporting ongoing squad recruitment and post-match reporting.
The French club will also have access to StatsBomb's newly released Expected Pass and Pass Clustering models. These models will allow them to evaluate teams' and players' passing skills and tendencies, enabling deeper insight into player recruitment and tactical analysis.
Alex Taylor, Sales Executive, StatsBomb, said:
"We are delighted to be working with AJ Auxerre. It has been great to see the club implementing our data into their processes so quickly and we look forward to a successful partnership with them."
Speaking about the partnership, Salim Tabarani, Data Scientist, said:
"StatsBomb’s event data is a key part of our data driven strategy either for recruitment or match analysis. It has proven to be helpful in the success of our first transfer window and we are looking forward to the next challenges."
