The Portland Timbers compete in Major League Soccer as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The club has agreed to renew its partnership with StatsBomb to benefit from access to advanced performance data, StatsBomb 360, and the StatsBomb IQ platform.
The American club will continue to benefit from access to StatsBomb’s state-of-the art analytics platform StatsBomb IQ, which features thousands of match events across 120+ global competitions. StatsBomb IQ can be used to run extensive team and opposition analysis, visualise tactical sequences, and support player recruitment.
As part of the agreement, the Timbers will continue to access StatsBomb Data, which will strengthen the club’s ability to analyse team performance, as it contains various insightful metrics, including Pass Height, Pressures by Team and Player, On-Ball Value (OBV) and more.
Furthermore, StatsBomb 360 will empower the club to enhance its team, opposition, and performance analysis capabilities by incorporating metrics such as Line-Breaking Passes and Ball Receipts in Space into its workflows. Additionally, access to the 360 Data will facilitate the club's ongoing ability to visualise crucial match actions through the assistance of the 360 Freeze Frame Viewer.
