Hudl Statsbomb’s Support for Women’s Football in 2024/25

Hudl Statsbomb are proud to announce that we will be continuing our support of the women’s game in 2024/25, offering free access to our football analysis platform.

This offer is open to all teams in the top women’s leagues in England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Finland, and the USA. We are also now collecting data for the Swedish Damallsvenskan, Australia's A-League Women, and the English Women's Championship: teams in those leagues can now take advantage of the initiative.

Clubs who sign up for their free access will be able to use state-of-the-art analytics to support their performance, match, and opposition analysis.

How is the Initiative Going?

The 2024 and 2024/25 seasons will be our sixth seasons offering free access to our football analysis platform. Each year, we have seen consistent growth in the number of teams adopting Hudl Statsbomb analytics into their workflows. At the time of writing, we have 89 women’s clubs in contract across 14 different leagues. We have also recently partnered with three teams from the USL Super League, a new professional women's soccer league in the USA, due to kick off later this month.

Over the last season, we’ve worked with successful women's teams across the globe, including title winners in seven domestic competitions. We were also proud to see the progression of two of our partnered clubs to the UEFA Women's Champions League semi-finals, with one of them making it to the final.

We’re encouraged by all of the above, but there’s still a gap to bridge in the women’s game, and we are actively seeking to engage more eligible teams to take advantage of our initiative.

Here's some of our current customers talking about their experience using Hudl Statsbomb data:

Florian Zenger, Chief Scout and Analyst at 1. FC Nürnberg:

"Our head coach, Thomas Ostendorp, really values data. I can see in his pre-match talks how he uses data and our game planning often relies on it. When we played Frankfurt he asked me to find out which players on the opposition teams passing percentage dropped the most when under pressure. So we decided to nudge our pressing scheme in the direction of those players."

Heidi Philaja, Head of Women's Football Development, Football Association of Finland:

"First-class analytical services are crucial to accelerating the development of the women’s game in Finland. I am happy all the clubs are able to utilize the data tools that give them a professional and modern way to analyze their game and enhance the level of football."

Brenden Slomka, Performance Analyst at Carolina Ascent:

"Hudl Statsbomb’s industry leading data quality ensures that we are able to maximise our resources at our disposal."
