Carlisle United has signed a deal with StatsBomb to use the company’s contextual event data and customisable analytics platform for the current and forthcoming domestic campaigns.
As part of the agreement, the League One side will have access to StatsBomb IQ. The renowned platform will give club users the opportunity to visualise crucial elements of performance analysis, from comprehensive pass networks to goalkeeper locations on shots.
StatsBomb's IQ platform will also strengthen the team's ability to customise its approach to ongoing recruitment, opposition player analysis and much more.
The agreement with the multi-sport SaaS company will also enable Carlisle to utilise StatsBomb's advanced performance data across core parts of the club, enhancing its ability to analyse key match events, evaluate upcoming opponents, and identify new prospects.
Speaking about the announcement, Fin Davies, Sales Associate, StatsBomb, said:
"We are excited to be working with Carlisle United and supporting the club as they embed our products across core club departments. The agreement will enhance Carlisle’s approach to key aspects of the modern game, including recruitment, scouting and performance analysis."
Nigel Clibbens, Chief Executive, Carlisle United, added:
“This is a first step for us and one we have been looking at making for a while. The new investment into the club has now made this immediately possible. We look forward to this helping us in many ways.”
Jacob Blain, First Team Analyst, Carlisle United, said:
“This addition to our recruitment and analysis process has been a long time coming and something we see massive value in. We are constantly looking for ways to gain an edge in the market and feel the StatsBomb platform will help us do that.”
